Job Description:

We are looking for dynamic and talented Senior Software Engineers, Tech Leads, SW Architects to join a fun, extremely talented team of highly experienced engineers. The right candidate will be contributing to the development of Next Generation Android Smartphones in collaboration with our customers/partners. Responsibilities include: Designs, Develops, Troubleshoots and Debugs software for new derivative platforms and enhancements related to Linux kernel and Device Drivers.

Skills:

Proven experience in embedded systems based on (RT)OS including embedded Linux


Excellent C/C++ programming skills


Experience with iterative development


Strong understanding of demands of mobile development including optimization/performance


Good working experience in development and debugging of Linux Device Drivers [LCD, USB, I2C, UART, SPI, GPIO etc.,]


Most recent experience [atleast 2 years] should include Linux Device Drivers, BSP or Bootloaders


Working knowledge & familiarity on ARM/SoC based mobile processor platforms/chipsets from TI (OMAP family) / Qualcomm / Broadcom / Freescale is a big plus


Good understanding of Linux Power Management Architecture is a big plus


Experience with the Linux Open Source Code Delivery / Modification / Testing [including open source licensing issues] is an advantage


Experience in development for mobile platforms/device is an advantage


Working experience in Linux kernel on Android platform is an advantage


Understanding of Android Source Code Architecture is an advantage

Experience:

• A minimum of 3+ yrs experience in industry covering the above

General Qualifications:

A grad/post-grad/degree (e.g., BE/BS/ME/MS/MCA) in C.Sc. or related engineering program in the area of software development with good academic track record


Good Team player with excellent communication skills both written and verbal


Good understanding of SW Engineering processes & methodologies


Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage priorities


Good mix of technical understanding & strong working knowledge
