Job Description:

We are looking for dynamic and talented Senior Software Engineers, Tech Leads, SW Architects to join a fun, extremely talented team of highly experienced engineers. The right candidate will be contributing to the development of Next Generation Android Smartphones in collaboration with our customers/partners. Responsibilities include: Designs, Develops, Troubleshoots and Debugs software for new derivative platforms and enhancements related to Multimedia Subsystems, Frameworks, Middleware & Peripherals.

Skills:

Proven experience in embedded systems based on (RT)OS including Embedded Linux.


Excellent C/C++ programming skills.


Experience with iterative development.


Strong understanding of demands of mobile development including optimization/performance.


Good working experience in ALSA drivers.


Working experience in any one of multimedia frameworks (e.g., Symbian MMF, GStreamer, PV OpenCore, MS DirectShow) is a must.


Good understanding of Android AudioFlinger and SurfaceFlinger services is an advantage.


Good working knowledge in various multimedia codec standards (e.g., MPEG-4 family, H.264, AMR family, MP3/AAC family) related API creation/usage is a must.


Working knowledge & familiarity on ARM/SoC based mobile processor platforms/chipsets from TI (OMAP family) / Qualcomm / Broadcom / Freescale is a big plus.


Good working knowledge in various industry standards & protocols for multimedia storage & communications (e.g., 3GPP family, RTP/RTSP Streaming Protocols, ISO/MPEG family, Khronos family) is a big plus


Good working knowledge in multimedia peripherals like Display, Camera, Audio and Graphics subsystems is a big plus.


Good working experience on PV OpenCore Multimedia Framework in Android platform is a big plus.


Good working experience on OpenMax IL is a big plus.


Good understanding of GStreamer, Symbian MMF is a big plus.


Good concepts of ALSA is a plus.


Good understanding in V4L2 drivers is a big plus.


Working experience in PV OpenCore Multimedia framework on Android is an advantage.


Working experience in ALSA drivers specific to Android platform is an advantage.

Experience:

• A minimum of 3+ yrs experience in industry covering the above

General Qualifications:

A grad/post-grad/degree (e.g., BE/BS/ME/MS/MCA) in C.Sc. or related engineering program in the area of software development with good academic track record.


Good Team player with excellent communication skills both written and verbal.


Good understanding of SW Engineering processes & methodologies.


Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage priorities.


Good mix of technical understanding & strong working knowledge.
